MaxFlow® filter systems are engineered to meet or exceed applicable SAE J335 and USFS 5100A requirements when used with a stock, unmodified exhaust system. Any modification to a chainsaw’s exhaust, engine, or external configuration—including but not limited to aftermarket or modified mufflers or muffler faces, loud exhaust systems, ported mufflers, ported cylinders, timing changes, compression‑ratio changes, unapproved felling dogs, unapproved handlebars, or any accessory that alters exhaust output, temperature, or the saw’s tested configuration—will void** the saw’s qualification for legal operation on USFS or BLM lands. This includes all aftermarket products, regardless of brand, marketing claims, or the presence of replacement or “approved” screens. There are no exceptions.**

MaxFlow® expressly disclaims all responsibility and liability for the use of our products in combination with any performance‑enhancing, modified, or non‑approved exhaust, engine, or external accessory. Any such modification removes the saw from its tested configuration under SAE J335 and USFS 5100A without exception.
By installing or using MaxFlow® products, the user acknowledges and agrees that:
- They are solely responsible for ensuring their equipment complies with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- They assume all risks associated with modifying their saw beyond factory specifications, including changes to exhaust flow, engine output, or external configuration.
- MaxFlow® makes no warranty—express or implied—regarding the safety, legality, or performance of any saw equipped with non‑approved modifications.
- MaxFlow® shall not be liable for any damage, injury, regulatory violation, or loss arising from the use of our products in combination with non‑approved exhaust systems, ported components, altered engine configurations, or other performance‑altering accessories.
Installation or use of MaxFlow® products constitutes acceptance of this disclaimer and acknowledgment that all modifications are performed at the user’s own risk.
